Meet Lizzie (aka @sealillly): fighter, model, and creator behind How To Live 30, sharing real fitness, mindset, and lifestyle tips for thriving in your 30s.

About Me

Thirty, Flirty & Thriving

HowToLive30 is your guide to living well in your 30s. I focus on what actually helps — clear workouts, realistic nutrition, supportive mindset tools, affordable skincare, and smarter money habits. Fewer buzzwords, more checklists you can use today.

Consistency Beats Intensity

Small steps win long-term. I’d rather you show up four times a week for years than burn out in two weeks of extreme effort.

Clarity Over Clutter

I trim the noise so you can act. Every piece of content is designed to give you a clear next step — not just inspiration.

Budget-Conscious Quality

Great results don’t require luxury everything. I recommend what actually works at every price point — and I’m honest about the splurges that are worth it.

Meet the Person Behind the Blog

Lizzie — Liz Lightning

Hi, I’m Lizzie

AKA Liz Lightning

I’m a content creator & influencer, fitness coach, and creative at heart. Over the years, I’ve worked with and modeled for brands like Sun Bum, Aerie, and MasterCraft Boats — which sparked my passion for storytelling through both movement and visuals.

After a decade of kickboxing — and most of those rounds sparring men — I believe fitness is more than physical. It’s about confidence, energy, and alignment with who you are. At How To Live 30, I share routines, tools, and inspiration that make you feel strong, balanced, and lit up from within.

My 30s have also been my boldest chapter yet: I earned my Florida real estate license, built this blog from scratch, and said yes to a whole lot of things that scared me — usually with my fiancé Brandon holding the camera. Starting over isn’t my backup plan; it’s my proudest 30s move.

When I’m not training or writing, you’ll find me at the beach at golden hour, taste-testing smoothie recipes, or planning the next adventure from our little slice of the Space Coast. Everything I recommend here has survived my real life first — that’s the promise.

My Story

From First Class to Liz Lightning

Ten years ago I walked into a kickboxing gym for the first time — nervous, out of my element, and pretty sure everyone was watching me fumble my hand wraps. (Spoiler: nobody was. They never are.) A decade later, that sport has given me a nickname — “Liz Lightning” — a second family, and the single best lesson of my adult life: you don’t have to feel ready to start. You just have to start.

That lesson became the theme of my 30s. I didn’t have it all figured out at 30 — not even close. I’ve pivoted careers, started over, and built things that didn’t work before building things that did. In my 30s I became a licensed Florida real estate agent while growing this blog and my content career — two brand-new chapters most people would say you’re “too old” to begin. You’re not. Reinvention isn’t a crisis; it’s a skill, and your 30s are when you finally have the confidence to practice it.

These days you’ll find me training at the gym, chasing golden hour on Florida’s Space Coast — where rocket launches interrupt beach walks and wonder is a habit — and filming Reels with my fiancé Brandon, who tolerates being in them with truly remarkable patience. Everything I write here comes from that life: real routines, real gear that survives real rounds, and a firm belief that the ordinary Tuesday version of your life deserves as much love as the highlight reel.

No. Whatever it is — the sport, the business, the reinvention — start ugly, start scared, just start. My reinvention guide walks you through it step by step.
