Hey friends, it's Lizzie! Confidence isn't something you're born with — it's something you build. Your 30s are honestly the best time to grow it, and here are the shifts that changed everything for me.
Do hard things on purpose
Nothing builds real confidence like proving to yourself you can do something hard. For me, that was kickboxing — there is something about throwing a punch and pushing through a tough round that spills into every other part of your life. Pick one thing that scares you a little and do it anyway. Competence breeds confidence.
The body-confidence connection
Here's something I didn't expect: getting stronger did more for my confidence than any amount of trying to shrink myself ever did. When you focus on what your body can do — throw a real punch, finish a hard round, get back up — instead of just how it looks, your whole relationship with yourself shifts. Strength is a feeling, and it's magnetic.
Confidence is a practice, not a destination
You won't wake up one day “fixed” and fearless forever — nobody does. Confidence is something you rebuild daily with small brave choices and kind self-talk. Some days will wobble, and that's okay. Keep doing the hard things, keep your promises to yourself, and watch how much you grow into. Your 30s are the perfect time for it. 💛

Nothing built my confidence like training. If you want to try it, these are the gloves I've trusted for 10 years. Code LILO at checkout.
The other shifts
- Watch your self-talk. Talk to yourself like you would a friend — catch the mean voice and reframe it.
- Set boundaries. Every time you honor a “no,” you trust yourself more.
- Keep tiny promises to yourself. Small kept commitments (a walk, water, an early night) build self-trust brick by brick.
- Stop waiting to feel ready. Confidence comes after action, not before it.
The truth about your 30s
You know yourself better now than you ever have — that's your superpower. Confidence in your 30s isn't about being fearless; it's about trusting that you can handle whatever comes. And you can, friend. 💛
